Marjorie A. ‘Marty” Richardson, 89, of Mifflintown passed away at 9:45 p.m. on Monday, March 26, 2018 at the Bridges at Brookline, Mifflintown.
Born on March 5, 1929 in Lewistown, Mifflin County, she was the daughter of the late Daniel S. and Laura E. (Moore) Coder. On November 22, 1947 she married her late husband, Joseph B. Richardson, with whom she was blessed to share almost 53 years of marriage, before he preceded her in death on November 21, 2000.
She is survived by a son, Jeffrey L. Richardson and his wife Bonnie, a daughter, Valerie J. Stutts and her husband David, all of Mifflintown, 4 grandchildren, Niki J. Baney and her husband “Pete”, Daniel C. Richardson and his wife Jennifer, Joelle R. Long, Stacey R. Long and 4 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Richardson was a 1947 graduate of Juniata Joint High School, Mifflintown and a home maker who dedicated her life to taking care of her family especially her grandchildren.
Marty was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, Mifflin and she enjoyed playing the piano
There will be no viewing or visitation.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 30, 2018 from the Westminster Presbyterian Cemetery, Mifflintown with the Pastor Daniel Kerlin officiating.
The family will provide all funeral flowersand kindly ask that memorial contributions in Mrs. Richardson’s memory may be made to the Trinity United Methodist Church, P.O. Box F, Mifflin, PA 17058.
