Obituary for Darwin E. "Dar" Ehrenzeller

Darwin E. “Dar” Ehrenzeller, 81, of McAlisterville passed away after a courageous battle at 9:20 p.m. on Sunday, April 1, 2018 at his residence.
Born on June 13, 1936 in Mifflin, he was the son of the late William David and Carrie Mae (Farleman) Ehrenzeller. On March 29, 2018 at their residence, he married his surviving wife, S. Audrey (Delancey) Ehrenzeller.
He is survived by two daughters, Ethel M. Adams and her husband Michael K. of McVeytown and Sandra K. Wagner and her husband John T. of Mifflintown; step-children, Steve Ehrenzeller and wife Lynn, Dwight Ehrenzeller, Chris Ehrenzeller and wife Donna, Joy Wilson all of McAlisterville, Joann Myers and husband Scott of Mifflintown, Sue Fabish of Mifflin; grandchildren, Jessica Kramer, Jon Varner, Lisa K. Miller, Brian T. Wagner, Carrie M. Hepner, Tiffany A. Arnold, and Robert Wileman, Jr; seven step-grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren; seven step-great grandchildren, five siblings, Charlotte Renninger, Jess Ehrenzeller and his wife Beatrice, Virginia Ehrenzeller, Ken Ehrenzeller and his wife Jean, and Fred Ehrenzeller, all of Mifflintown; and a very good friend, Bob Walters of McAlisterville.
One daughter, Rita A. Ehrenzeller; one brother, Arthur W. “Art” Ehrenzeller; one step- daughter Darla Rusho; and two step-grandchildren Eric Fabish and Jeffrey Hockenberry preceded him in death.
Dar was a very hardworking man who enjoyed collecting tractors, watching wrestling and NASCAR, hunting, and was an avid builder of a variety of things.
Earlier in life, Mr. Ehrenzeller was employed by William Peters Plastering. He then went to work for Roy Shelley in General Carpentry Contracting and finally, was employed and retired as a Carpenter for Jay Fulkroad & Sons in Oakland Mills.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, April 5, 2018 beginning at 11:00 AM at the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 111 Westfall Street, McAlisterville, with the Reverend Kenneth Hepner officiating. Interment will follow at the Hillside Cemetery in McAlisterville.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 from 4-8 PM with the family present from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
