Obituary for Cody W. Fetters



Cody William Fetters, 23, of Port Royal, passed away unexpectedly at 10:45 AM on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at his residence.
Born on November 19, 1996 in Lewistown, Mifflin, County, he is the son of Amy J. (Kemp) Fetters of Liverpool and Melvin R. Fetters and fiancé Denise Phillips of Shamokin Dam
In addition to his parents, he is survived by: his fiancé, Shiann R. Peck of Port Royal; his son whom he was expecting in May of 2020; one step son, Liam L. Peck; one sister, Trisha R. Fetters and her companion Nevin Baker of Liverpool; maternal grandparents, William and Linda Kemp of McAlisterville; paternal grandmother, Cynthia Knouse and her companion Steve Wargo of Richfield; maternal great grandmother, Rachel K. Fry; maternal uncles, Michael and Bradley Kemp; paternal uncle, Kevin Fetters; paternal aunt, Tara Fetters; and his canine companion, Gunner.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Larry A. Knouse.
Mr. Fetters was a 2014 graduate of the Mifflin-Juniata Career and Technology Center in Lewistown and was currently employed with Hempt Bros. in Camp Hill and also at his family’s business, William Kemp Septic Tank Services in McAlisterville.
Cody was a former member of the Fayette Fire Company No. 4 in McAlisterville and his hobbies included hunting, fishing, racing go karts where he was the 2014 Selinsgrove Raceway Park Track Champion in the Senior Clones Division, riding dirt bikes, shooting guns, helping his pap make barbecue chicken, playing soccer in his youth, and having a love for all animals; however, most of all, he cherished the time spent with his family, fiancé, and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 AM, Thursday, January 16, 2020 at the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 111 Westfall St., McAlisterville with Pastor Ronald Dressler officiating. Interment will follow at Union Memorial Gardens, Mifflintown.
A viewing will take place from 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral services at 11:30 AM on Thursday, January 16, 2020 at the funeral home.
