Obituary for Jane S. Depew

Jane S. Depew, 88, of Brookdale Grandon Farms, Mechanicsburg and formerly of Mifflintown, passed away at 12:53 a.m., on Tuesday, January 14, 2020, at her residence.
Born on August 24, 1931, in Thompsontown, Juniata County, she is the daughter of the late Ralph and Anna (Hackenberger) Sieber. On September 20, 1952 she married her late husband, David A. Depew with whom she was blessed to share more than 44 years of marriage before he preceded her in death on May 24, 1997.
Surviving are a son, Roger D. Depew and his wife Patricia, of Gibsonia, a daughter, Diane K. Depew, of Gettysburg and she leaves behind two grandchildren, Amber Depew and Tyler Depew.
In addition to her parents and husband, a brother, Wayne Sieber preceded her in death making her the last of her generation.
She was a 1949 graduate of Fayette High School, a lifelong member of the Pine Grove United Methodist Church, Mifflintown where she was a former Sunday school teacher and in earlier life served as a Brownie leader.
Mrs. Depew retired in 1994 as a cashier for the Juniata Valley Bank, Mifflintown.
Jane enjoyed sewing, quilting and attending quilt shows with her daughter.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 20, 2020, from the Pine Grove United Methodist Church, Mifflintown, with the Pastor Jennifer Heikes, officiating. Internment will be in the Westminster Presbyterian Cemetery, Mifflintown.
A viewing will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 19th, 2020 from the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 100 Bridge Street, Mifflintown.
