Obituary for Anthony R. Zangrilli
Anthony R. Zangrilli, 70, of Mifflintown, passed away at 6:05 p.m., Monday, March 30, 2020 at his home.
Born on September 5, 1949, in Altoona, Blair County he was a son of the late John P. and Delores (Pretola) Zangrilli. On July 10, 1971 he married his late wife Mary M. (Brubaker) Zangrilli with whom he was blessed to share more than 46 years of marriage before she preceded him in death on December 16, 2017.
Surviving are, a son, Travis A. Zangrilli, of Mifflintown; 2 brothers, John P. Zangrilli and his wife Linda, of Indianapolis, IN, Gary M. Zangrilli and his wife Elizabeth, of Pottstown, 2 sister-in-law’s, Kathi Brubaker, of Bensalem, Judith Coleman, of Hagerstown, MD and several generations of nieces and nephews.
He was a 1967 graduate of Altoona High School, a member of the St. Jude’s Catholic Church, Mifflintown and a former member of the Knights of Columbus.
Mr. Zangrilli retired from K-Mart where he worked at the Altoona, State College and Lewistown stores; he had also been employed by the Family Dollar store in Mifflintown.
Tony loved politics, watching movies and decorating; however, he loved nothing more than putting a smile on everyone’s face that he met especially his family and his friends.
A memorial service will be held at a later date from the Brown Funeral Homes Inc., 100 Bridge St., Mifflintown.
There will be no viewing or visitation.
