Obituary for Alice G. Attick

Alice G. Attick, 86, of Thompsontown, passed away at 9:55 PM on Sunday, April 19, 2020 at Ohesson Manor, Lewistown.

Born on October 20, 1933 in Walker Township, Juniata County, she is the daughter of the late Jerome and Beatrice (Sausman) Willard. On October 8, 1960, she married her late husband, Larry L. Attick, with whom she was blessed to share 26 years of marriage before his passing on August 10, 1987.

She was never blessed with children, although she is survived by: five sisters, Berneice Gabel of Newport, Arlene Walls of Port Royal, Kathryn Wagner and her husband Thomas, Colleen Ann Kepner all of Mifflintown, Sandra Pannebaker and her husband Theodore, of Thompsontown and several generations of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Jerome Willard, Jr., four sisters, Joanne Willard in infancy, Betty Erhart and her husband, John, Caroline Shellenberger and her husband Harry, Shirley Morrow and her husband James, three brothers-in-law, Robert Gable, Walter Wall and Dennis Kepner.

Mrs. Attick was a 1951 graduate of Juniata Joint High School, Mifflintown and a graduate of Central Penn College, Summerdale.

After graduating from Central Penn, she was employed by People’s Drug Store, after which she retired as a legal secretary from Tyco formerly Amp, all of Harrisburg.

In earlier life, she enjoyed sewing, quilting, cooking and later she enjoyed reading and doing word search puzzles.

All services will be private and officiated by the Rev. Nathanael Mowery. Interment will be at Adams Cemetery in Mifflintown.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 100 Bridge St., Mifflintown.
