Obituary for Ida P. Wagner

Ida Pauline Wagner, 89, of Belleville, formerly of Duncannon and Mifflintown, passed away at 3:44 PM, Monday, May 11, 2020 at Valley View Haven, Belleville.
Born on December 11, 1930 in Duncannon, Perry County, she is the daughter of the late Roy and Mabel (Frye) Hockenberry. On February 15, 1956 she married her late husband, Charles Fern Wagner with whom she was blessed to share 47 years of marriage before his passing on December 8, 2003.
She is survived by: a niece, Pauline M. Page and her husband Donald of Mifflintown; a great-niece, Vanessa N. McNaughton and her husband Joe III of Duncannon; and several generations of beloved nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by ten siblings, William E. Hockenberry, James C. Hockenberry, Joseph L. Hockenberry, Catherine M. Leonard, Anna M. McDonald, Mary E. Gipe, Thelma C. Jury, Irene Longonie, Arlene Storm, and Betty Hockenberry in infancy, making her the last of her generation.
Ida Pauline was a 1949 graduate of Lewistown Area High School.
Mrs. Wagner loved to sew, tend to her flower garden, paint rocks, work on puzzle books, and care for her pets, especially her poodles, Benji and Max; however, her greatest joy came from her family, especially her grand and great grand nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Pastor Vaughn Kanagy for his ministry, care, and compassion with Ida Pauline.
All Services will be private with interment taking place at Evergreen Cemetery in Duncannon.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mrs. Wagner’s memory can be made to Rescue Our Furry Friends (R.O.F.F.), 133 North Walnut Street, Burnham, PA 17009.
