Obituary for Zachary D. "Bush" Pellman



Zachary D. “Bush” Pellman, 31, of Oakland Mills, passed away at 8:06 PM on Friday, August 26, 2022 at the Geisinger Lewistown Hospital.

Born on June 27, 1991 in Lewistown, Mifflin County, he is a son of his father, Robert C. “Bob” Pellman and his step mother, Monika Pellman of Arch Rock and his mother, Jill A. (Haines) Harlan and his step father, Curt Harlan of McCoysville.

In addition to his parents and stepparents, he is survived by: his companion, Kelci N. Bryner of Oakland Mills; three daughters, Mackenzie N. Pellman, Lennox K. Pellman, and Lindi F.A. Bryner; two sons, Brooks E. Pellman and Kaiser D. Pellman; one brother, Ryan C. Pellman and his companion Tobie Benner of Mifflintown; paternal grandmother, Phyllis Pellman of Mifflintown; maternal grandmother, Sue Haines of Lewistown; maternal grandfather, David Haines of Frostproof, FL; his beloved canine companion, Zaina; and many uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends who he considered as an extension of his family.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Lester E. “Bushy” Pellman on May 23, 2013.

Mr. Pellman was a 2009 graduate of the Juniata High School in Mifflintown and a 2009 graduate of the Mifflin Juniata Vo Tech School in Lewistown.

Throughout most of his working career, Zach was involved in farming, mechanic work, and was a proud truck driver, most recently being employed by Hoffman Logging in Mifflintown.

He was a simple man who enjoyed farming, hunting, fishing, butchering, boating, camping, four wheeling, and working in his garage on many various projects; however, his greatest joy came from the time spent with his family, especially his children.

He will forever be remembered for his fearless attitude, his unfiltered views on everyday life, his love of the outdoors, and his ability to help anyone in need, regardless of what the situation was.

Closed Casket Funeral Services will be held at 2:30 PM on Friday, September 2, 2022 at the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 111 Westfall St., McAlisterville with Pastor Jeff Henry officiating. Interment will be private.

A viewing will be held from 5-7 PM on Thursday, September 1, 2022 at the funeral home.

The family will provide all funeral flowers and kindly request that memorial donations in Mr. Pellman’s memory be made to the Pellman Children Trust Fund which can be made at any branch location of Pennian Bank or mailed to 27577 Route 35 North, Mifflintown, PA 17059.
