Obituary for R. Earle Robinson

R. Earle “Dudie” “Robby” Robinson, 86, of Mifflintown, passed away at 11:10 AM, Monday, September 5, 2022 at the Geisinger Lewistown Hospital.
Born on April 25, 1936 in Walker Twp., Juniata County, he is a son of the late Fred E. and Mildred (Zeiders) Robinson Sr.
On February 14, 1959, he married his surviving wife, Donna (Kline) Robinson with whom he was blessed to share more than 63 years of marriage before his passing.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Jodie L. Robinson and his wife Sue, Robert E. Robinson and his wife Drue all of Newport, and Brent A. Robinson and his wife Richelle “Sis” of McAlisterville; and he leaves behind six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Galen M. Robinson in infancy; one sister, Earlene Cumers; and two brothers, Fred E. Robinson Jr. and Donald E. Robinson, making him the last of his immediate generation.
He was a 1954 graduate of Juniata Joint High School in Mifflintown and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He was employed by the American Viscose Corporation in Lewistown, Lewistown Specialty Yarns, and retired from Armstrong Cabinet Factory of Thompsontown.
His memberships included the Lost Creek Hunting Club, was a honorary member of the Juniata Saddle Horses Association, and attended the Journey Christian Church in Thompsontown.
Dudie loved the outdoors, being an avid hunter and fisherman, and especially fishing at the sea shore; however, his greatest joy came from spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, September 9, 2022 at the Westminster Presbyterian Cemetery, Mifflintown with Pastor Jerry Wise officiating and where full military burial honors will be accorded by the Juniata County Veterans Council.
There will be no public viewing or visitation.
The family kindly asks that memorial donations in Mr. Robinson’s memory be made to the Journey Christian Church, 10110 William Penn Hwy., Thompsontown, PA 17094.
