Obituary for Sarah L. Irwin Beck

Sarah Lizbeth Irwin, 44, of Carlisle, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 in her home in Mt. Union, PA.

Born on March 7, 1978 in Camp Hill, a loving daughter of her father, Harold S. Irwin, III, and mother, Gay R. Irwin.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her two sisters, Amy S. Casey and Katie J. Irwin, her brother, Zachary J. Irwin, two nephews and six nieces, as well as many beloved extended family members and friends.

Sarah was a 1996 graduate of Carlisle High School and earned her Associates Degree in Human Services from Purdue University Global in 2013.

She dedicated her professional aspirations to customer and food service, always one to put the welfare and happiness of others before her own.

She loved nothing more than spending time with her family, relaxing on the beach listening to the crashing waves, being "the crazy aunt", listening to a song that could speak to her, laughing with her entire soul, and striving to be closer to God in her actions and her faith.

Sarah was free-spirited and compassionate, willing to give her last dollar to another if she felt they were in need. Her unconditional love for everyone that she met was something to be admired and an example the rest of the world should emulate.

A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday, October 9, 2022 at First United Methodist Church of Mt. Union, 15 West Shirley St., Mt. Union, PA 17066 with Pastor Gay R. Irwin and Reverend Art Montgomery officiating.
