Obituary for Evelyn L. Dressler (Brubaker)



Evelyn L. Dressler, 92, formerly of Thompsontown, passed away at 1:34 PM on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at Stonebridge Health and Rehabilitation Center in Duncannon.

Born on January 22, 1930 in Delaware Twp., Juniata County, she is the daughter of the late Harold and Marie (Lukens) Brubaker.

On October 8, 1949, she married her late husband, Palmer L. Dressler, with whom she was blessed to share over 69 years of marriage before his passing on July 3, 2019.

She is survived by her two daughters, Brenda M. Gaupp of Harrisburg and Sheila E. Becker and her husband Jeffrey of Lakeville; two brothers, Harold Brubaker and his wife Lisa of Millerstown and Daryl Brubaker and his wife Debbie of East Salem; five granddaughters; thirteen great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson; and many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Dressler was a 1948 graduate of East Salem School and was a member and attended the First Baptist Church of Juniata County in Mifflintown.

Evelyn was employed and retired as a Seamstress at various local garment factories.

She enjoyed cooking, canning, baking, taking care of her house, and reading; however, her greatest joy came from spending time with her family.

Closed Casket Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, October 10, 2022 at the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 111 Westfall St., McAlisterville with Pastor Gary Krabill officiating. Interment will follow at the East Salem Cemetery.

There will be no public viewing or visitation.
