OBITUARY NOTICE
JACOB S. “JAKE” YODER

Jacob S. “Jake” Yoder, 70, of Mifflintown and formerly Cross Keys, passed away at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at the William Penn Health and Rehab Center, Lewistown.
Born on March 26, 1952 in Reedsville, Mifflin County he is the son of the late Sam H. and Emma (Speicher) Yoder. On February 1,1986 he married his late wife, Dorothy R. (Gibbons) Yoder whom he was blessed to share almost thirty-two years of marriage before she preceded him in death on January 23, 2018.
Surviving are one sister, Barbara Boyce of New York, three brothers Abbie Yoder, Chris H. Yoder and his wife, Ada, Sam H. Yoder all of Reedsville, one brother in law Jonathan Hostetler, Reedsville, sister in law Elizabeth Yoder, Reedsville, sister in law Maryann Gibbons of McAlisterville. Also surviving are twenty nieces and nephews, 100 great nieces and nephews and numerous great-great nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by two sisters, two brothers, two sister in laws and two brother in laws.
Mr. Yoder worked many different jobs, the last being at a pallet factory.
He was a member of the Killawog United Methodist Church, Marathon, New York and he currently was attending the East Waterford Presbyterian Church.
Jake enjoyed loving his animals and family. He will be greatly missed by his many friends.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, October 12,2022 from the East Waterford Presbyterian Church, 54 Church Street, East Waterford with Rev. Graham C. Fowler officiating. Interment will follow in the East Waterford Cemetery.
A viewing will be from 10 a.m. on Wednesday, until the time of service at the church.
Memorial contributions in Mr. Yoder’s memory may be made to the East Waterford Presbyterian Church, P. O. Box 174, East Waterford, PA 17021.
