Grace I. Campbell, 78, of Locust Grove Retirement Village, formerly of East Waterford, went home to be with her Lord at 11:40 AM on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at the Geisinger Lewistown Hospital.

Born on August 31, 1944 in Turbett Twp., Juniata County, she is a daughter of the late Samuel and Mable (Lehman) Hockenberry.

On May 14, 1965, she married her late husband, Robert A. “Bob” Campbell with whom she was blessed to share more than 54 years of marriage before his passing on December 6, 2019.

She is survived by her children, Richard L. Campbell and his wife Jacqueline of Mifflintown, Donna J. Snyder and her husband Charlie, and John R. Campbell and his wife Lori all of East Waterford; nine grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and one sister, Violet Reed of Spring Run.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Karen M. Wyland; brothers, Harry Hockenberry, Samuel Hockenberry, and Wilmont Hockenberry; sisters, Bessie McNaughton, Catherine Hoffman, Annie Campbell-Worley, Sis Lawson, and Rose Zeigler; four nieces and two nephews.

Mrs. Campbell was a graduate of Juniata Joint High School, Mifflintown and was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, and caring for her family.

Grace was Methodist by faith, and she cherished the time spent with her husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She will be remembered for her kind and caring nature.

All services and interment will be private.

There will be no public viewing or visitation.
