Obituary for Kathy M. Kraft

Kathy M. Kraft, 72, of Lewistown, passed away at 11:00 PM on Friday, January 27, 2023 at her residence.

Born on July 10, 1950, in West Mahoning Twp., Indiana County, she is a daughter of the late Arthur Walters and the late Marilyn (Lydick) Druckemiller and her husband Martin.

On February 14, 1970, she married her surviving husband, Frederick A. Kraft, with whom she was blessed to share almost 53 years of marriage before her passing.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by: one son, Kurt Kraft and his companion Gail Manson of Tonasket, WA; one grandson, Frederick A. Kraft III; two great granddaughters, Gia and Alaria; three brothers, Bryan Walters and his wife Beth of Mifflintown, Fred Walters of Burnham, and Norman Walters of Texas; four step brothers, Jake Druckemiller, Steve Druckemiller, Brian Druckemiller, and Danny Druckemiller; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded by one son, Todd Kraft; one sister, Joy Tubbs; one brother, A. Lee Walters; and one sister-in-law, Nancy Walters.

Kathy was a 1968 graduate of Chief Logan High School and received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington.

Mrs. Kraft was a self-employed Accountant who worked for many area businesses.

In earlier life, she attended Wagner United Methodist Church in McClure and was a member of the American Society of Accountants.

She enjoyed reading, Sudoku, playing piano, singing, baking, and cooking; however, her greatest joy came from spending time with her family, and she will be remembered as a wonderful, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.

Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 23, 2023, at Wagner United Methodist Church, 6280 US Hwy 522N, McClure with the Rev. Josh Randolph officiating. Interment will be private.

Following the Memorial Services, the family will welcome those attending the services.
