Earl was employed as a Mechanic and retired after 34 years of service with TRW in Harrisburg.

He was a member of the Otterbein United Methodist Church in East Salem and enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, riding four-wheeler and his tractor, building bird houses, and going for breakfast at various area restaurants; however, his greatest joy came from time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.
